It’s not always easy to find affordable wild caught salmon unfortunately. These AIP Salmon Patties use wild caught canned salmon which is significantly cheaper than fresh salmon but still packs in all of the nutrients.
In addition to these patties being affordable they’re also great to make in advance before the work week. I love making a batch of these on a Sunday afternoon so that when I come home after work I have dinner waiting for me in the fridge.
PARENT HACK
Patties seem to be a kid pleaser and also a great way to sneak in veggies. Zucchini works great in these since it doesn’t have a strong flavor and it binds well with the salmon.
PRO TIP
When you have easily freezable recipes, freeze, freeze, and freeze. You will thank your past self when you’re too busy or too tired to make dinner one night. Just let them cool off and freeze them in stainless steel or glass container. Add a piece of parchment or wax paper between layers.
